Write a personal letter about a past experience.
Write a letter to your pen friend telling him / her about of one your most memorable past experiences. Your letter should include the following main points:
when it happened
where it happened
how it happened
who was involved
how the experience affected you
Dear Tam,
How have you been these days? We haven’t met for ages. I have a day-off and have time to write this letter to tell you an unforgettable experience which happened to me last week.
You know, I was walking along Trang Tien Street, one of the most busiest street in Ha Noi, when an English girl came up to me, I guessed she is about my age, and asked about the way to Hoan Kiem lake. I showed her the way to get there. Then we started talking about the lake; for example, Why it is named Hoan Kiem? It means The Sword Lake or Return Sword Lake, and about turtles, especially, there exist a 1000-year-old turtle.
I regretted very much since I didn’t have much time to have longer talk with her so I said goodbye to her.
All in all, the experience made me more interested in learning English.
